2026 Competition

Beginning on TAB Turnbull Stakes Day and continuing throughout the Melbourne Cup Carnival, this year's journey culminates on Crown Oaks Day. Finalists will take to the stage in the Grand Final to compete for the ultimate Fashions on the Field honours.

Plus, two new categories – Best Dressed: The Remix and Best Suited: The Remix – offer the opportunity to stand out on TAB Champions Stakes Day.

Known as the home of fashion and style during the Melbourne Cup Carnival, Crown Oaks Day provides the fitting finale to the competition. Best Dressed and Best Suited entrants will compete alongside qualifying finalists from across the season, with the Grand Final crowning the standout racewear of 2026.

Closing out the 2026 Melbourne Cup Carnival in style, TAB Champions Stakes Day welcomes a new chapter for Fashions on the Field with The Remix.

Featuring Best Dressed: The Remix and Best Suited: The Remix, the competition celebrates racewear with a fresh perspective.

Championing circular fashion, creative reinvention and individual style, The Remix invites entrants to showcase vintage finds, reworked pieces, rental fashion and contemporary interpretations of race day dressing.
